    Ok.... this may be a dumb question but, do DVD+R recorders also record on DVD-R? I am new to DVD recorders so I am totaly culeless with this stuff. Thanks in advance

    Not unless it specifically says so. As in '+/-R' or something to that effect.

    Most don't but some do. Sony and Liteon both do, I'm sure there are others too.

    Steve is right.
    It will specify if it does both.
    If it only says DVD+R....then that's what it does.
