I just bought the ND3520A drive but it didnt come with any installation instructions so i don't know how to install it properly. Could anyone tell me I'm supposed to do this, i went on the nec website and they have the instructions but its in deutche.

all u need to do is pull out your old drive and plug in the ide cable. on the top it shows how to make it a slave or master or whatever. it should be on defult slave. plug in and go

some (definitely NOT all!) DVD burners can ONLY be installed as the Master Drive on the 2ndary IDE slot with no slave attached
after it's installed you can then add a slave drive, but if you want/need to update the firmware, you must unplug your slave device
again, this is only on SOME DVD burners, NOT ALL.
