    whoops.....this came out wrong

    Any way to solve the improper VBR source to get good audio for converting to mpg?

    Set audio to full processing, then save as uncompressed lpcm wav file. Load this as the audio source in your encoder, or seperately encode to AC3 or mp2.

    You can use VirtualDub Mod and save the sound out as a WAV. Use that file for your encoder along with the video. TMPGEnc or other encoder will convert to MPEG audio. Or with a little more work you can convert it to AC3. This is assuming a AVI type file source to DVD, SVCD or VCD.
