I am beginning the process of encoding some TV DVD's to h.246 and am following the guide here:
https://forum.videohelp.com/topic333634.html
Under de-interlacing in AviSynth, it cannot detect a source type, and I do have "source is anime" selected. Any hints?
Thanks!
I used DVD Decrypter to rip the individual VOB files. Ive used this method in the past with great success but I was then encoding to xvid, not h.246.

You probably don't need to deinterlace, but rather Inverse Telecine.

 Post your script.
