    I have some adobe premiere projects that I want to export back to minidv tapes. I do not want to export the whole project and I want to be able to just export a section of the timeline to the minidv tape. I can not find a way to do this. If I put the scroller at a point in the timeline and hit export to tape the scroller always goes to the beginning of the timeline and starts exporting from there.

    You should define the work area. this is done with the yellow bar at the top of the timeline. than it will record only this part of the project.
