  1. Hi, first post so please excuse any terrible errors! . . . I've searched to see any mention of this, I might not be looking in the right places, but I think it may be a reasonably unusual task . . .

What I would like to do is rip individual 5.1 channels ( or use any other possible method ) to get DVD scene rips which isolate dialogue ( i.e. with little or no soundtrack ) and vice versa - is this possible / practical and what tools would people recommend for it?

By the way, the reasons I want to do this are : 1) to make a compilation for an independent cinema's Movieoke night ( where people act out film dialogue ) and 2 ) for a film 'rescoring' project where a new score is applied to a film, but the dialogue remains the same.

    hope someone can help! thanks

  2. To rip out individual audio channels first you have to rip out the audio form the DVD i.e. AC3 5.1 audio.

Once you have the AC3 file you can use BeSweet to extract the individual channels. Open the AC3 file and select the 6-wav output.
