I'm trying to figure out how I can rip only certain audio channels from a DVD movie's Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack. I know DVD2AVI can convert the entire mix to a .wav file, but I want to only rip the left and right channels of the 5.1 soundtrack (i.e. not the center channel or rear channels).
I've had a difficult time finding any tools to accomplish this task. I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Someone with more experience with that process can probably give you more help. But I can tell you if you just rip the left and right, you may not have any dialog, as that's usually in the center channel.
If you just want most sound effects and the music, left and right will work.

DVD Audio Extractor will rip 5.1 DD & DTS to 6 separate wav files.

Audio file sizes are never that big compared to video, so the time to rip (especially Harddrive->Harddrive) isn't going to take that long. Why not just rip all the channels and then keep/save/process the ones you want.
