when i go to encode i get an error message 'there is not enough space on your hdd. you need 4gb(4209mb) of free space' BUT I HAVE 7gb of free space on my hdd, why the message??

You have the FAT32 filesystem, with a limit of 4gb.
You need NTFS, and for that you need Windows 2000/2003/XP.Cheers, Jim
