I'm creating DVD's with TMPGEnc DVD Author. I've found that when I create menus, they don't work properly on my standalone cheap DVD player (Magnasonic, can't find the model number).

I can skip forward chapter by chapter, and that works great with the chapters I defined ... but the normal tricks of using the menu, entering the chapter number and Enter, etc. don't work.

The menus do, however, work properly on my PC with PowerDVD.

Is this likely a problem with the cheap DVD player? Or is there some trick in TDA that I need to use?

I'm using the "Blue" template for menus in TDA, without altering the template.

    Thanks!

  2. I've never had any problems with menus on any player I've used. I've used different menus and settings in TMPGEnc, they all work for me. Probably the cheapo player. You could always try another player. If you don't have access to one, go to an electronics store and try one.
