hi, iīm using the TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 a great tool but I realy have a problem with the menu system.
How I make a "return to movie" button ?
I want return to the movie (not started again) without press the "menu" again, just need a button to make that.
The movie will play in DVD player only.

I don't believe that any created menu will do that as there would have to be an index, a chapter if you will, for every frame so it would know where to go back to . Usually to resume a movie it is the function of the DVD player (hit pause or stop on the remote and then press any key to get back to where you left off). Chapters in menus are the key points of hopping back into a movie.

EDIT: I stand corrected. It CAN be done. -
It can be done, but I don't believe that Tmpgenc DVD Author is sophisticated enough to do it. When you hit the menu button, the current location in the title is stored to a register, and you can resume to it. DLP supports this feature, but most entry level (which Tmpgenc DVD Author is) tools do not. It may be possible to add such a function with PGCEdit, but I couldn't tell you how.

First make a button like that in Author. I am not familiar with that software, but hope it will let you do that. Link it to movie or enythink you want.
Compile project
Open in PGCEdit
Find your Menu (Left side window in VTSM#, LU#) by clicking on it it will show in window.
Once you have that, click on Menu icon, upper toolbar (green Icon)
Click on button you want to edit, than click on bar bellow where it show command
New window come up, click on "By Type-Link to-ResumeRMS(on the bottom)" click OK
Close and save changes.
It is done -
At authoring you'll need to create an extra fake chapter to have that button; if you use text buttons, give it a proper name.
If you use DVDRemake, right/click on that button => edit button commands => select 'set instructions' => use 'Resume'. Then export modified files and replace ifo's. You can previously 'export test DVD' to be sure. -
hummmm...
...Dvdremake ...
I think this way is more easily to view the files.
thanks Alex.
but if not I will try the PGCEdit.
Realy thanks to everyone. -
ok, letīs close this topic
I compiled my movie with TMPGENc and after that I open the PGCEdit tool and I make a test with the [SETUP] BUTTON in the MAIN MENU and change the command line to "resume".
ITīS WORKS FINE.

I gave you PGCEdit because it is free, but myself I use DVDRemake Pro to do this. I found it easier to navigate in it.
