    Hi all

I'd like to know if there's any software out there that can easily fade out my backups. At the moment I cut out the credits but the movie finishes too abruptly...

    Can anyone help???

    Thanks in advance

  4. Pinnacle, Vegas, Premiere, there are others. Look in the Tools section for mpeg editing.

What's TMPGenc like for doing the above?

  6. It has no fade anything. It's an encoder, unless you meant tmpgenc mpeg editor, which also does not have fades or anything, it's just a cutter/joiner.

In order to insert a transition such as a fade out fade in or whatever, you need to RE-EDIT your content. If it is in DVD files, you need to reconvert to some formthat it's editable such as MPG 2 or back to avi. Then you load that inside an editor and insert the transition at the end. Then you will have to render out the whole thing back to MPG and re author back to DVD. Man that's a lot of work for a fade out.

Keep the credits! I do and it the estra 5 minutes of video does not affect the out put hardly at all.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

jtoolman2000 - I think you're right - it IS alot of work just to get rid of the credits. But I like to use the LEAST amount of compression & keeping the credits does bump up the need to compress

I think I'll just CHOP the end of the movie. If I did what you said & faffed around fading the movie would I lose any quality of the movie?

    Thanks
