Hi
I want to do a very simple task but I cant find a way to it.
I want to remove from my DVD all the copyrighting, commercials and promos clips and have a pure DVD with the movie and its VTS ONLY.
Now …with DVDShrink I cant really change the DVD structure so instead of unwanted clips I can end up with still images instead. I don’t like it.
Please someone tell if there is a way to completely remove unwanted clips and not just sub it with other material?
Thanks
S

DVDShink with Reauthor option will create a DVD with just the movie but with no menus either..

hay guys... DVDShrink wont allow me actually remove anything i just can chang it with stills.
in playback time i need to wait long time until the still dis appear.
what about skiiping? how can i skipp clips with DVD-Lab pro? -
Baldrick pointed you in the right direction. Read the guides. There are many tools available that will do what you are asking.
A few are TitlesetBlanker, VOBBlanker, PGCEdit. Do a search for these tools in the Tools section and read some of the guides. -
VobBlanker fro example does excetly what DVDShrink does. it will replace the unwanted material with a blank screen. what if i have 10 unwanted clips? than my blank screen will be 10 x 2 sec?

You need to read the guides. -

I have backed up all my commercial DVDs using this method as I have no interest in the other rubbish that is put on to fill the disk up, just the movie. -

Why is it doing that? -

Hi
Richard_G…
Im my original post I sad that I want only the movie and its VTS.when I said VTS I refere to its menus.
Now..DVDShrink can sub the copyrighting and all other rubbish with still image….which is fine but the problem is if you have removed a video section that has a long running time(like promo for example) and worst if it has some chapters your sub material will display as the running time of the removed material.
In the other hand VOBBlanker does the same with one exception…it will blank out all the chosen titles and you have instead a bkacj screen with homogeny running time which is about 2 sec.
That is great! Using DVDShrink for removing unwanted audio channel is cool and for compressing and size maintain.
I assume that you know this stuff better than me but for those who doesn’t I highly recommend VOBBlanker. -
I didn't actually. I wasn't aware what you meant when you said you wanted to keep the VTS, I even looked in the glossary and found it isn't there.
I have no desire to leave the menus, in fact, I find them very annoying! I can't understand why you would want them either, if you only have the main movie, the only bit that does anything is the Play Movie button. That happens automatically as soon as you put the DVD in you player if you don't have a menu.
I suppose you might want to be able to use the Scene Select to skip to later Chapters but that still works anyway on a DVD Re-authored as movie only in DVDShrink. Start playing the movie and hit 'Next Chapter' on your remote and it goes to the next Chapter. The only thing you are missing is any thumbnails. -

DVDShrink allows you to do this (eliminate all of the "fluff" and back up only a main movie), with ease. It excels at this, as a matter fact. Which is one reason I use it.

VTS = Video Title Set
A VTS represents a "Title," which is a movie or track on a DVD-Video.
