Hope someone here can give me some advice....

I burnt a slideshow on a maxell DVD-R with music. It plays fine on the 2 dvd players I have but when I gave a copy to a friend it plays ok but no sound....they are using a toshiba sd-3900 . Anyone know if the toshiba can play -R's or should I use a +R DVD????

    Thanks

It should be OK playing both formats. I'm afraid that I have no suggestions other than to check the cables are secure. Sorry!

  4. Sony and Toshiba DVD Players are picky, especially the older ones. Maybe you could try a +R bitset to -ROM (can't do with all burners, though). Update your user profile so we know what you have for a burner, etc. PLEASE DON'T TELL US, JUST PUT IT IN YOUR PROFILE. Thanks

If it's a DVD with MP2 audio and you live in NTSC land then that could be the problem. It isn't NTSC-DVD spec but only picky players will reject it.

I have a tried a +R with the same results. I even transfered a regular 8mm tape to dvdand the same thing happens..so mp3 isn't the issue
