  1. I used IsoBuster to get movie files from a VCD. But I couldn't play the
    files on Windows Media Players 10 but it worked on Quick Times and Real Players. Which codec do I need to play them on Windos Media Player?

    mpeg1(vcd) should work fine with media player 10. did you extract the .dat to a mpg with isobuster? https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/141726.php#vcd

  3. Hmm Yeah I guess so. Then what should I do?
    there are many options i can choose if i try to extract movie files from a vcd. which one should i choose?

    Try using VCDGear to rip/convert your files from dat to mpg. (VCDgear has other options, too.)

  5. I tried the VCDGear but it sitll doesnt work...
    When I try to play an mpg file that i got from a VCD on Windows Media Player, it shows an erorr that says "It failed to find a codec or codecs it needed to play this file". Somethign like this. hmm

    You sure it's a VCD, and not SVCD? (SVCD=mpeg2, which WMP doesn't understand). OTOH, I prefer to use PowerDVD for all mpeg playback.
