I play avi divx files, or mkv files very slowly with media player, kmplayer or vlc media player.

Tried to play files both in the hard drive and in an external drive both slowly.

    Have no ideia why.

    Yes they played right before.

No, I don't have anything sucking my CPU on task manager.

Have you installed anything lately? New hardware drivers?
Running the computer in Power save mode?

When you play the movies does the task manager->cpu usage reach 100%?

Formatted the PC and now I can't play mkv movies in KMPlayer and in Windows Media Player and in VLC media player the pixels are divided by a grid.

Avi files seem to be very pixilized

So I guess this is hardware problem.
