    Hey all,

I had an issue with a video that i'm editing. When I play it I only hear audio coming from the right speaker the left speaker doesn't have any audio. I confirmed this by listening to the movie through head phones. After careful examination of the audio file I found that there was only data in the right channel none on the left. How do you convert a mono audio file to stereo?

I tried exporting the audio file from quicktime with 48 khz and stereo but the sound issue is still there.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. If you hear audio only on the left speaker then the file is not mono, but it is stereo with only one channel encoded. I would suggest to encode it to mono, and then back to stereo.
