  1. Hello,

after changing from beta8 to RC2. The encoding process won't do an mp2 to ac3 audio conversion of my PAL SVCDs. In the registry there is ac3 enabled. But the log-file tells only mp2 to mp2 encoding.

I also tried the other options, to check if there is a checkbox failure, but it wasn't.

I'm not doing any PAL to NTSC conversion because of living in Germany.

Is ac3 encoding only working on NTSC assets or PAL to NTSC conversion assets ?

In beta8 everything was fine. RC1 wasn't tested by me.

I hope you can fix it in the final version or maybe in RC3, because I'm only working with PAL assets and I've paid for the program.

    Thanks for an answer.

    Bye

    This works for me....

Can you upload the file in question and your log. Can you save the project too and send me the s2d file so i can see the settings?

  3. So it's done. My source file and my project plus log file are on your ftp.

Maybe the problem is that the source has 48kHz ?

    Thanks for analyzing.

Yes that is the reason. Audio encoding is skipped if:

    asset is ac3 audio
    asset has 48khz audio
    user chooses "skip"

This clearly is not ideal. I will make it so that it is skip if user chooses "skip" only.

    Thoughts?

  5. Hello,

    thanks for this answer.

Is it difficult to implement mpa with 48kHz to AC3 encoding ?

Or do you have a tip for me to transform the source first ?

    Thanks a lot.
