I'm trying to copy the movie shaun of the dead, used dvd decrypter to rip it to my HDD, then when i try to run dvd shrink, i get the following error when it starts to encode:

Dvd shrink has encountered an error and can not continue
    programming error - exception occurred
    the parameter is incorrect.

i have no idea what this means. I have tried it 3 times and on the third time dvd shrink made me re-accept the liscense agreement when i clicked on it. If anyone knows what's going on and how to fix it, i would greatly appreciate it.

  2. I don't know what is happening, but you could try uninstalling it and reinstalling it. Maybe something happened during the first installation.

Your PC looks to be very up to date (nice rig, by the way!) - I doubt it is the problem.

Anyway, try uninstalling and reinstalling, and see if that helps at all.

i tried ripping just using dvd shrink, and once it got to the encoding part, it shut the program down..... and that smartripper, said something about not being able to download it if you are from the US. any other ideas?

i'd just like to say thanks for the help guys. at the moment it is encoding. so hopefully it will finish. the only other question (at least for right now )is there a way to make it burn with dvd decrypter, without having to start it up seperately after the encoding process is done?

  11. The new shrinks do that automatically. Just check to write with DD & it starts DD when the time comes.

    Does for me anyway.

If I have DD open before that it won't write automatically.
