    I usually use vsodivxtodvd to do this simple conversion but it wont work for some reason with this file

    anyone know why? or another simple program to convert this avi file?


    also what is the best best aspect and standard to set for conversion?

    The best aspect ratio is whatever matches your source, the same rule applies to resolution. Match the input and output.
