What's Up,
just a quick question. Recently I encoded a movie to VCD
using TEMPGEnc...instead of using 4:3 in the Aspect Ratio
i chose 1:1. Does that mean when i watch the movie on my
DVD player it will have a big black border around it?..
rather than being full-screen?...Thanks in advance.

Most players disregard that setting on VCDs, and simply stretch or squeeze the picture horizontally to fit the screen. The White Book standard does not permit non-4:3 ratios, so this falls outside the VCD specification per se.
Off hand, I don't remember if the aspect ratio is even encoded into the mpeg-1 syntax.
