This I guess is MAINLY for Americans. Just curious because the laws are different over there.
Anyway, please express views and opinions freely, and if you own one... which one etc. Maybe some pictures too.

why are you asking out of curiosity ? many do own them here but do not publicly list them or pictures either ....
specially with mandatory gun registration here only at about the 50% level in compliance , plus security concerns....."Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -
Don't own one, never have. My parents never had one in the house either, though my dad was in the military - he kept his at work. I never even owned a plastic pistol except maybe a squirt gun (one of those tiny ones, usually red plastic that held an ounce or two of water, not one of those water cannons you see now).
I've considered buying a real one, but I'd have to learn how to use it, and I'm too lazy to.Ethernet (n): something used to catch the etherbunny -
i should host a videohelp moose hunt here ...

It is kind of a private thing to some. I have nothing to hide though. I kind of feel bad for the people that are not allowed to own them though, perhaps if I were raised under those type laws it wouldn't bother me.

Can we add an option for yes, but I've never had to?

I started on a Savage 110 .30-06 for deer hunting, very simple bolt but very accurate for a $200 rifle. I still have this one in fact. I keep it around for nostalgia mostly, and perhaps I'll give it to my son/daughter someday if they so choose to hunt. Had an Izhmash .22 I used for biathlon when I used to compete, sold it to a competitor when I stopped competing. Next two firearms were a Stevens side-by 10 and a Remington 700 .375 H&H Mag. The two-piper 10 was a bit unwieldy so I never shot it other than a few times at a trap range. I gave it to my brother since he still hunts birds. The .375 is my big game gun, though it seems overkill for most animals in North America short of some big brown bears. I owned an H&K USP Tac .45 handgun for a while, then decided I didn't like handguns as a civilian. My favorite firearm, and the only one I ever really take out to the range quite often, is my H&K 91. I've spent probably $4k on it since I bought it for half that five years ago. Bench shoot .5 MOA easy with it. Hunted deer with it 2 years, even helping to fill others' tags in the party, before I realized it just wasn't sporting to be able to kill a deer from pretty much any range I could see one with that rifle. Ever since then I've been bowhunting and love it. I've got a Buckmaster (~70# weight my 32" draw) with two dozen Beman ICS carbon arrows and some crazy titanium broadheads that can apparently punch through cars. All those years at camp with the Scouts paid off there, I found I'm a pretty good shot with a bow.
Sorry for the history, I enjoy my firearms.FB-DIMM are the real cause of global warming -
How about the illegal option? I'm not against them nor can I own one because it is illegal here.

Yup, guns can easily be had by just crossing the border. The problem with the shops is that they sell even to Chicago addresses. They had a news investigation having a couple of people buying guns in suburban shops using Chicago IDs. They had no problems getting guns.

OK, I'll show one more. My very first gun. I was 8 years old when my Dad bought it for me. I was in the cub scotts and I was the first to get their marksman badge
It must have a million rounds through it by now, seriously, we would shoot through bricks of ammo. This will be StiltmanII's first gun. He will also get my very second gun that I used on my very first deer hunt when I was 12yrs old
OK cappy, guess this one.....too easy though

Guns for hunting? ok
Other guns? I don't understand why would someone want some. -

Do AirSoft guns count?
(I would have just put the images here, but a couple of them are over 100K and I didn't think dialup users would appreciate that)
[edit] looks like we're not worrying about dialup folks...[/edit]
