  1. I have the tv wonder ve with a soundlaster sound card, win xp pro

    any ideas why i can capture once perfectly and then bam no sound on the next ( once I close the capture program), Ive tried about everything I think if any body had had to deal with this please let me know


    Ive tried v -dub anfd I get unsupported format 9it works the first try after boot), iu vcr works great once, and avi_io works great once.

    It happens for VFW applications under win2000/xp (having WDM drivers).
    Once wxiting such application it mutes the sound. So, before you run it again start original app (MMC I mean), then exit from it and then run VDub, .. whatever.

  3. Yeah Ive kinda read about some of the stuff,

    but once i use another program and close it I cant open mmc because it says the device is in use.


    any ideas?

  4. Wouldnt you think I could into the audo setup and unmute it, or is it some kind of internal mute or something

    it says the device is in use.

    so, it doesn't release device properly - you have to restart your computer. Sometimes I have this but not quite often.

    Wouldnt you think I could into the audo setup and unmute it

    I suspect it won't help - it mutes sound in the tv card itself.

  7. Actually Ive worked this out.

    Ivan from iuvcr walked me through it at 2 am last night, talk about support, it does mute the line in but iuvcr lets you unmute it.
