hello--I have strange issue. I have a Pioneer DVR-108 burner and a standalone Toshiba DVD player (prog scan) that is a few years old. When I burn DVDs using Sonic's MyDVD, they work perfectly. That is to say, when I import the video files (either MPEGs or Xvids or even VOBs) and then burn them using MyDVD they play perfectly.
Recently I've downloaded a few flicks that after unpacking were in .IMG format. Now, I know Nero can't burn these without converting to .ISO (via MagicIso) first, and I also know that DVD Decrypter is the typical choice to burn these straight away.
My problem is when I use DVD Decrypter to burn the .IMG, and I put the burned disc into my DVD player, a message comes up and says "Disc Error" on the player and "Not NTSC" on the screen. Again, if I spend the extra time and import the video files into MyDVD and use the Wizard to construct a disc, it plays perfectly. These are NTSC .IMGs (I know that because MyDVD doesn't convert PAL->NTSC). I can get by this way but it is really time consuming to do it like that, instead of just burning the .IMG to disc straightaway.
Also, I live in Canada and have my DVR-108 region set to Region 1 in Windows. Any thoughts as to why I have success via MyDVD but not just burning straight images via DVD Decrypter?
Thanks very much.
