    Will Nero 6 burn dual layer DVDs or is special software needed?

    Not sure about Nero but quite a few on here have had success with DVD Decrypter.

    DVD Decrypter - read ISO
    DVD Decrypter - write ISO

    If its backups you want then DVD Decrypter is the way to go.

    Thanks, does this apply to backing up data files to dual layer DVD? I have a lot of multi-GB audio projects that I'd like to back up.

    Data or video, no matter.
    As long as Nero recognizes your burner, the filesize line on the bottom of the screen will show just shy of 8250MB.
