    this pc will not post..the monitor light stays amber.hard drive sounds like it spins up.Key board lights will light for a second.then nothing.hard drive lights for a couple seconds then goes off..Any idea's?does not check disk drive a: but checks cd rom drive.I tried a different video card/and old hard drive

    Start ripping it apart ... Personally when this happens I will pull all peripherals except floppy and then start plopping stuff back in and confirm it boots each time after insertion.
