I am at wits end here - maybe this can help:

All I want to do is transfer VHS to DVD, but hopefully this is a software question and is in the correct forum.

I have read and have a little understanding of capturing. I am new to this and alot of this stuff is confusing. Here's what I am using and the problems I am having.

Capture Device - TV Wonder USB 2.0
Problem TV Fails to intialize - software check states that the clock is not stable - I have downloaded driver updates and get the same problem. I have the Realtek AC97.

I have tried to capture using Windows Movie Maker and Nero. It doesn't indicate that frames are dropped, but the picture sticks and the audio is off when I capture only. Don't know if it is related, back Nero Showtime doesn't work for DVD playback - sound, no picture. Windows Media player works great though.

Now to the software problem - I am using a trial version of Ulead Video Software 8. So far it is the best. The picture does not stick when capturing and playing back. However, there is no sound at anytime. I have clicked and tried everything. I am about to give it up. I HATE COMPUTERS! HA!
