Is the Alba £99 dvd player from argos any good for svcd and

Does anyone have this player and whats it like for playing svcd and dvd?

Not sure about the Alba player but I have a Rowa 280 from
Asda for the same price and it plays vcd, svcd and dvd
very well indeed. It's played every brand of cdr and cdrw
I've tried and my only complaint is a slightly dodgy scart
connection (the colour's not too great).
The composite output is excellent though.

Dunno about that player but richer sounds have the Cyberhome ADL 528 for the same price & that has played everything I`ve chucked at it It`s also got 5.1 built in & is multiregion hackable. I was so impressed with this unit I got a second for the bedroom.
