Hi,
I am new to this forum and have been reading up on the dvd recorders.
I am interested in connecting my laptop to a Pioneer 520HS.
The laptop is a Dell 8600 with Xp Pro sp1.
I want to transfer material from the laptop to the Hd on the 520HS.
When I connect the laptop, Win does detect the 520HS, but.. only
show the 520HS as a camera/tape deck.
Has anyone done this ? If so, how?
Thanks,
Chris

Your 520H, like all others on the market, is a dedicated DVD recorder and you can only transfer DV-AVI files (mostly from DV camcorders) between your PC and the 520H, nothing else. To make you feel any better, the Pioneer is one of the few which allow you transfer two-way between the camcorder/PC and the standalone box.Originally Posted by Chrisj1
