  1. I have some old DVD's that I have had for a long time, and would like to back them up before it's too late. My problem is that they still play fine, but won't copy. I get read errors during the copy. I have tried DVDShrink, CloneDVD2 and DVDmate. What is the best software to try and salvage these old movies? thanks

If your dvd's are old and used many times, they
probably have some scratch's on the playing
surface. You can polish them out with white
toothpaste, diluted with a few drops of warm water.
Polish from the hub out toward the edge, NOT in a
    circular motion.
Hope this helps you some and a Happy New Year.
