I have only been doing the DVD thing for a little over a month. When I bought my Panasonic DMR-E85H I bought the memorex labeling system. Now after reading about how bad it is to use labels (after labeling about 50 movies) and the posts about how good and bad some writing systems were, I decided to buy a Epson R200 from Newegg, and 100 taiyo yuden white inkjet (hub printable) dvd disks from Rima. As close as I could tell from the posts these were about as good as I could get. I know I could have gotten a better printer but I already have 3 others. Now, is the program that comes with the printer good enough to print my DVDs or do I need better software. Thanks for all the advice I have received and read on this forum. It has saved me a lot of misery.

  2. The Epson software is good at printing to disk, whats its not so good at is creating lables. Better to use other imaging software to create a gif or jpg etc and then import into epson print cd to print.

Photoshop is the one alot of people use. I also use Surething Label Maker. To create and print my DVD's with.

  6. I have the canon i865 and it comes with software to do printing. But it's pretty lame software. I hunted around the net and found a template for Photoshop or this printer. So now I can make my labels in Photoshop and print directly from there. I am sure you could find a template for the Epson printer.

Also if Photoshop is a bit expensive, Photoshop Elements 3.0 might be a good second choice
