I want to know what settings you use when rippin DVDs to SVCD. Here are the setting I use

    Output Frame Rate 25
Video Bit Rate 1700 to 2000 denpending on the length of the video
    Motion Quality Good
    Resoluation 640x480
    Volume 5 To 6

I use 1click DVD To VCD to make my SVCD it was just a test. I try to keep it under 1400mb to only have two cdrs. What freeware program do you guys use to make SVCDs. Also does anybody know of any good freeware video ripper for mpg avi asf and such I want to rip a video into 2 files.

Well, one setting I don't use(ed) is the resolution! 640*480 is no good for anything. 480*480/576 (NTSC/PAL) is the only valid SVCD resolution. 352*480/576 is an alternative, CVD, that most SVCD players will handle too, and that has the advantage of being upwards compatible with DVD.
Never used anything with "1click" in the name either
Take a look under tools for other video conversion tools, and under Convert for guides on how to use them.

I'm not exactly sure which tool you are using but I know that if you plan on playing those SVCD's at that resolution you probably can only do so on the computer. NTSC should be 480 x 480 and PAL should be 480 x 576. More information is here. https://www.videohelp.com/svcd

Last time I made an SVCD, I was using DVD2SVCD, loved it. Mostly everything was already set up for you, except the audio I think I had to change it to 224 kbps (sp?) and 44100 Hz. Hope this helps.[/url]
