I received a DVD copy of an old English concert that plays fine on my computer. When I try to play it in my standalone DVD player I get the message 'Playback prohibited by area limitations'. This looks like some kind of a 'region' problem. Do I have to make the disc 'region free' ? If so, how do I do it?
My DVD player is a Sony DVP-NS315, if that matters. Thanks.

If it is single layer, use DVD Decrypter to ISO read / ISO write. It will remove the restrictions. If it is dual layer, rip with decrypter, then use DVD Shrink to resize for a single layer disk.
