One divx is ok, one is jerky - why?

I have two episodes of a tv show in divx format. I want to play them on my skyworth divx dvd player. I burnt one as a data dvd and it played perfectly (I burnt using Nero).

The other one, burnt in the same way, is sort of jerky - there is some slowdown when there is more movement.

Is there anyway to fix this, the files are alomst identical using GSpot.
