  1. Hi,
    I made a dvd from my downloaded fansubs but I didn't know to center the video when I converted the files to mpg before authoring. Long story short, the subtitles are partially cut off because the image is larger than the tv viewable area. (I have since learned how to do this correctly)

    I would like to make new DVDs but I no longer have the original mpgs and I was trying to find out what would be the best way to go about fixing the problem. I tried to look at the guides about reauthoring but I didn't really understand them.

    These are the tools I have: DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, TMPGenc, TMPGEnc Dvd Author, TMPGEnc 3.0 Express

    If the subs are hard coded, there's not much you can do but to extract m2v from the vobs and reencode.
    If you have "real" DVD subs, you can rip audio, video and subs (to .srt), rerender subs at a lower y value (srt2sup) and reauthor (ifoEdit).
