    So I author a DVD with the audio I got from BeSweet (extracted a wave from a divx movie using Virtualdub, then put it through BeSweet to get a 224kbits/s AC3 audio file). The DVD authors fine.

    When I play the DVD using VLC for example, it works fine. But when I try and play the DVD using anything else I have, (Windows Media Player, InterVideo WinDVD) I cannot hear any audio. I can't figure out what's going on here. I've tried different audio formats, but I've used a 224 kbits/s AC3 in the past with no problems.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

  2. Are these home movie, vhs or dvd rips?
    If its a rip Id really consider switching to an easier way of creating dvds. If you enjoy doing it the way you do than more power to ya but there is a better way.

  4. Havent done one of those in years.
    try splitting the audio and video with virtualdub.
    Then try it
    Life is like a pothole, you just have to learn to get around it.

    ... annnnnd we're back to square 1 ...

    @dvdguy4:
    It pays to read the whole thread If I'm not mistaken, the OP clearly says that the audio was extracted with Virtualdub already.
    If in doubt, Google it.
