  1. Ok, sorry if this sounds a little ignorant, but, I could use a tad bit of guidance; If I have two VOB files that I want to burn both onto a DVD so the DVD will simply start automatically once inserted into a DVD player, what would be the best avenue to take?

Do you have IFO and BUP files for these VOBs ?
    If in doubt, Google it.

Use TMPGEnc DVD Author. Theres a trial for it. Just put the movie in and
put no menu. Then output it. It will make all new dvd files to burn.

Yeah, it's easy to create IFOs - Use IFOEdit and the guide here. The reason I ask is that I think TMPGEnc DVD Author needs the IFO files (I've never tried just adding VOBs on their own - maybe someone else can confirm?).

Anyway, once you have the IFO files created, use TMPGEnc DVD Author and press the Add DVD Video button, then nominate your IFO file. If you want the two VOBs to play one after the after, the easiest way is to put them in the same track. To make it play on insert, go to the menu options and in the presets for menus, choose No Menu. Output and job's right.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Just use create ifo in ifoedit and it will output the neccessary files so all you need to do is burn the files as dvd-video in your fav burning program.

    You're right - I don't know what the F*** i was thinking

Follow this guide in it's entirety to join the VOBs together using VOBEdit, and create the IFOs using IFOEdit. Then burn using your favorite software.

    Good work, johns0

Ifoedit takes to long. You have rename all vobs files.
Just easy to use TMPGEnc DVD Author.
You can put vob files in TMPGEnc DVD Author.

  10. Great... I'll give that a shot. I did have TMPGEnc DVD Author before if I remember correctly, but it seems like that program put the site url in the middle of the picture... seems like I couldn't get around the Trial version or something... I'll try it again.

Probably much of a muchness time-wise by the time TDA authors IMO. And renaming files, gee, that's gonna take all of about 3 seconds per file

BTW, IFOEdit has a phenomena where it runs much faster if the dialog box is 3/4 hidden. Move IFOEdit's box showing the progress right down the bottom of your screen so that all you can see is the blue titlebar, and watch it fly
    If in doubt, Google it.
