I tried capturing one of my kickboxing tapes onto the pc using winfast PVR with my Leadtek Tv2000 XP Deluxe. I have the audio connections correctly plugged into my soundcard input. When I captured the video I went into the folder that it was saved in and there were 2 files, a 4gb file and a 600mb file(which was end of the 4gb file). Now I played the 4gb and everything was perfect the audio was fine the picture was fine, yet when I play the second part of the capture I get no audio. Does anybody know what to do to fix this or why it would be doing this?

Also is there anyway to change it so that it doesn't break the file up into 4gb lots?

  2. I see your computer details say you are using Windows XP. Is your hard drive setup to use FAT32 or NTFS? FAT32 can only have files that go up to 4Gb in size, but NTFS can have files of unlimited size. I used to have the same problem until I converted my hard drive to NTFS. I have more than one drive, so I left one partition at FAT32 just for backwards compatibility. So, you will need to convert at least your capture drive partition to NTFS to capture files more than 4 Gb in size.

I don't have any idea about the missing audio. Maybe converting the drive will take care of that. I hope this helps.

Thanx for the quick reply. I have 4 drives but I think it was the main drive which is FAT32 that I captured the video to. I might try capturing it to a different hard drive. Lol I didn't even think about that. I also updated my computer details since it's been ages since I was here.
