I've been crusing at 512mb or ddr ram since one of my other sticks died some time back...just popped in its replacement![]()

Is there a huge difference between 1gb and 1.5gb of ram too?

I used to have 1gb on my PIII 1ghz and personally didn't notcie a huge difference. sure it was faster but it really wasn't anything to write home about. Maybe it works better on a bus faster then 133mhz.

More isn't always better. Unless your system is utilizing at least half of it at least half the time then you're probably getting worse performance. Likely it would only be helpful if you're running a lot of DCC/CAD/multimedia applications open all at once and going between them. Otherwise you'll probably not use more than 1GB. The problem lies in addressing all that memory for use with your system. Unless you're using registered chips than you probably won't have any issues, but usually only server boards accept registered memory.
