    Can someone help me decide on what capture device the better of two, Also what are some of the best capture devices out and what ones have the best quality,
    I would like to use with Direct TV, Thanks

    Hello,

    Do a little research on this site:

    https://www.videohelp.com/capturecards

    That has a list of a lot of cards.

    The ATI will record in AVI and MPEG.

    The WINTV PVR series is MPEG only. But they are very good and easy to load into a dvd authoring package for dvd creation

    I have the hauppauge wintv pvr250 and love it. If you want to be able to record avi also get an ati card.

    Actually I did some research, I own a Hauppauge Win TV PVR USB2 right now, I was just wondering about ATI cards, Thanks
