I use to have the Sony. I searched both on Sony's pages and the internet for the original firmware. After I got sony on the phone, they still were unable to help with the issue. I had to go out and get another Player. Had that Toshiba for over 2 years now and it plays it all. Sorry I couldn't help.

I have tried & called Sony with no help at all from their tech support. Sony wants me to send the DVD player to their service centre. I am sure Sony has the calibration disk and the firmware. Sony surely needs some help in their Customer Service!!!! or they want to make more money.
I do not want to spend that much money in fixing DVD, instead I will buy a new player. Any suggestions on what's best in DVD player. Reasonably priced!!
