Does anyone know what happened to www.cdcovers.cc ?
their website seems to be down...are there any other cover databases as big as theirs?

Heres a really great DVD cover site. It has over 10,000 different covers in lots of regions. High quality images. Blows away any site out there.
Great replacement for dvdcoverart

Just checked. They accepted my uplaod for Day after tomorrow without the black band like all the others
I tried 3 times to upload it to cdcovers and not one was accepted. Plus, the version I posted is MUCH better than the ones I tried to upload at cdcovers -
I cannot understand why some user upload total shit on these sites.
Some jpgs are pure trash. How many people will look at these files and say: I would not even print this file on a 1/2" x 1/2" piece of toilet paper?
This also happens on the high-res sites.
Tooo bad I'm not a admin on these sites, I would use the delete pretty often, like: get to know your scanner before posting here. 8) -

Ya watch out for all the crap trying to get onto your systems at alot of the cover places!
Don't go here without protections!!!!! I use WEBROOT SPY SWEEPER a free download free to use program. Try it, it notifies you of bookmarks, home page hyjackers, and alot of other stuff too! I think I got it at download.com or do a search at google for it!

I think that was a great site for covers, but if the one I am thinking it is
(I checked, yes it is)
it tries to install all kinds of crap. Often pops up a box telling you you have to install something before you can download ect...
CANCEL the download when the box opens, you get a popup telling you you have to install, CLICK X to close the box. Just tried one DVD image now and it did that 3 times, I never installed anything and I did get my image. As I recall, last time I was there I needed art for about 12 DVDs I made from VHS captures, it did that like the first 3 or 4 downloads then no more annoying problems.
I normally have all my own images I can just scan for DVD backups, I don't do alot of those. But when converting many of my VHS tapes to DVD disks (I do alot), then I don't have the sizes I need so those I download and edit. VHS tapes never have disk picture labels, and the boxes are crap for DVD case covers. So I either have to create my own or download, I do either!
And if people would look at the positive side of things, I just bought 2 movies on DVD that I did not even know existed! Saw the COVERS for them on a download site, wanted them so I found and bought them! Heck I would never have bought them if it weren't for that cover site having the labels.
A couple more I plan to buy also. So cover sites are good advertising to sell the actual products. Free advertising for the movie companies!

When the comment about lousy scans being uploaded should be deleted was made, he was reffering to those with good covers doing crappy scans not worth having. If your cover is ripped up, you would not be scanning it to upload it, you would be looking for a good one to download to replace it with. I think someone got something a little mixed up somewhere
