Whenever I convert .avis to .mpg using tmpgenc, and then go to burn them nero always says that my .mpgs are not compliant with vcd standards. I was wondering why this is happening and how do i stop it. I set up everything correctly I think, I chak the frams per second and stuff. Any help would be greaty appreciated.
TIA

Do you load the tmpgenc template for "vcd_ntsc" ? Try burning a 10 second clip.Try all the steps.
Load the video file
Load the proper template
Encode
Burn
And that should work.
This ofcourse only applies if you forgot to load the template or whatever.

demux and remux them under mpeg tools and make sure you select mpeg-1 vcd

Sounds like to me you used to make a lot of xvcd or xsvcd stuff then wanted to make a standard cd and the template for em is not changing 1 setting in there.
Here are most common settings not changed-
res-352x240
fps-29.97
motion search precision- normal
VBV buffer size= 40
audio- 44100 Hz, 224 kbits stereo
mpeg stream- MPEG-1 Video CD -
Are you getting this non-compliant error for MPEGs that are only encoded via TMPGENC or are they then split/cut using TMPGENC? If you cut/split/add/merge the MPEG using TMPGENC's MPEG TOOLS, make sure to select "MPEG-1 (VideoCD)" from the pull-down.
