Im gonna buy the Pan DMR-E80H. I want to record shows on DVD-ram then just transfer it to DVD-rw so I can watch the -rw disc on another dvd player (it dosnt support DVD-ram). I dont just use -r because after I watch the show I want to erase Both disc.
I have a Dvd-r/-rw/ram drive on my computer. I also Have Ulead DVD workshop.
So I was wondering if it was possible to put the ram disc in my pc and then just transfer it to rw? No editing needed.
I just want the simpelist way (quickest)
Thanks for the Help!

I saw this question here couple of times. Try search if you can find it. Or just browse through list of posts. Subject should be very similar.
Pinnacle Studio 8 and DV home video editing (ver.9 already home) -
when you look at the ram disc, copy the .vro file over to your pc, then rename the file .mpg and use ulead to input it and make the dvd as normal

Before you buy your Panasonic, make sure it will play or record to -RW disks. My DMR-E30S Panasonic will not accept them. Perhaps the newer DMR-E80 might; but check first, so you won't be disappointed.
Panasonic's philosophy when it produced my DMR-E30 (as explained to me by Panasonic): DVD-RW is good for hundreds of recordings, but DVD-RAM is good for thousands of recordings, so that's why Panasonic decided to go with DVD-R and DVD-RAM. -
There is no need to copy the VRO file and rename to MPG and then use ULEAD to copy to a DVD-RW.
This is what I do:
Using Nero or any other DVD writing software just do a disc to disc copy (using your hard drive if necessary) using the RAM disc as the original and the RW disc as the disc to copy to. When you put the RW disc into the Panasonic E80 (E50 in my case) it treats it as a RAM disc that is protected so you cannot edit etc. Once you have watched the RW disc just erase it. -
The best solution in my opinion is to coppy the DVD_RTAV folder on your ram disk to your hard drive, then use tmpgenc dvd AUTHOR select create new project, then add dvd,Tmpgenc will recognise the RTAV folder as a dvd and you can then reauthor it into VOB files etc and burn as normal with no need for converting the file ,this whole process takes about an hourincluding transfering the file from disk to hd compared to 2-6hours converting (depending on quality)

Note that video on DVD-RAM are always recorder in DVD-VR format.
Actually, if you are using the DVD Workshop 2, you can simply use the DVD import function to import the video from the DVD. Remember to use a recording mode that uses standard DVD frame size otherwise, DVD workshop will need to re-encode the video file and that will take a long time.
