Apple issues critical alert for iMac G5 owners

It's generally accepted that Mac users are more tech savvy, more attractive to the opposite sex and just plain more intelligent than the average computer user. Or so we thought.

It appears, though, that some iMac G5 owners need a few pointers as to how to transport their kit from one place to another. Nothing too technical, mind, simply good, honest advice to assist them when the time comes to relocate:

    So now you know

And there you have it. We note, however, that Apple has omitted to mention that you should always keep your back straight and bend your legs when lifting weights. We foresee a whole gunboat of lawsuits heaving over the horizon in the company's direction... ®

Well, actually the being more attractive and being more intelligent statement is a stretch.

What did you think about the way to carry a g5?

The trip to the dumpster isn't too far, so it shouldn't ever be an issue with me

Well if its the Powermac G5 the proper way to carry it is any way that doesn't cause pain. Those things are pretty heavy for their size.

Its the big metal case and every thing added together. Its a tower, but its go way more "stuff" in it then most PC towers. CPUs, sheilds for the CPU, Plastic sheild to force the heat to flow correctly. I guess it just all adds up.

The best way to lift a Mac is bending your knees, keeping your back straight and hoisting it up above your head and onto the top shelf, still in the box.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
