i currently have a computer with the cpu speed of 1.4ghz(amd xp1600+).
when i convert a dvd-9(8.5gb) to dvd-5(4.7gb) it takes me about 2.5(2 hours and a half) to 3 hours. i use pinnncle studio 8 for the conversion. my question is, if the cpu speed is higher will that reduce the time it takes to convert the video? if not, how or what will reduce the time period?

Hi averageasian,
Put as many details as possible in your "Computer Details" (under your Profile)...
How much RAM do you have?
What type of RAM? PC3200? Slower?
What motherboard?
All this in your profile will help...There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.
