LCD adapter?

Hi, I was wondering if there is such a thing as and LCD Adapter for a Mini DV camcorder. My Cam has an LCD attached, but i wanted a sperate screen about the same size...... but attached to a wire 3 or 4 feet long, so its seperated from the camcorder and connects to the S-video connector. And can be used while filming..... is there such a thing and can this be done???

Wow, thats alot of money.

Well, I gues that answered my question though. you can use a sperate LCD by using the S-video connector?
I will keep searching and hopefully find something ALOT cheaper.

I was also wondering if there was some way of taking my LCD off my cam and adding a longer cable. I wonder if a repait shop could do that?

I think if you weren't so much into miniturization, the prices really do drop. I saw some 13" ones for less than $200.00, and a regualr TV with S-video always works. If you can settle for composite video, the options really increase, and you may even find some in your production budget. Remember to keep it out of youor actor's field of view -- who can't resist looking at themselves on TV?

no, I really need something small about 4" or smaller..... the same size as the LCD on the cam (which is only 3.5" in I think). I need it to be portable

Hi have seen a few of these screens on ebay
Here are some links below,
one thing to look out for is sellers from hong kong etc where you might be liable for import duty.
