Hi i have problems watchin m2v files. picurehas green dots and sound is all scratchy when i check in ffdshow it says mpeg2 codec i s corrupt. i've unninstalled all my codecs and reinstalled and tried all codecs for m2v files but it still stays the same any suggestions on what i could do?

Do you have similar problems if you play the source?
A M2V file is the video stream that was demuxed from the source. You've got problems if you can hear audio when playing .M2V files. -
what mpeg codec are you using ?

on ffdsjhow i says disabled but i can choose between libavcodec and libmpeg 2 or disabled but in the remarkes field it says currently broken, i tried with all but still get scratchy sound, is there any way to remove the codec totally from system. cuz the codec dosent uninstall completley when i uninstall my codecs. Ive tried all mpeg2 codecs that u have on this site.

strange that some m2v files work but others dont but a friend got em to work
