  1. I was wondering if CopytoDVD burns using UDF 1.02, unlike Nero does in DVD-Video mode. I’ve tried following the guides to burn DVD’s in UDF/ISO mode in Nero but it does not seem to work. I’ve just purchased Gear DVD Standard Edition and the burnt DVD's finally work on my 6 year old standalone DVd player using the UDF/ISO option. The only complaint I have is that I am unable to set the burning speed (it takes aprox. 30 min to burn, Nero was 12 min). Basically I wanted to know if someone could direct me to a detailed guide about Nero 6.3.1.20 and UDF/ISO mode or another program that burns at UDF 1.02 more quickly than Gear DVD.

    Thanks

If it takes 30 minutes to burn with Gear, then it is burning the disc at a speed of 2x. Burning at 2x might be the reason why your old standalone can play back the resulting disk. Have you tried using Nero and setting the speed to 2x?
