Ok..I'm building a HTPC and I was wondering if anyone had any reccomendations for a video card that has a either a Composite or S-Video Out so I can display it on my TV..I won't be using this comp for High End Gaming. So, if possible, I would like to get the cheapest that I can get that has good quality.

    Thanks

Radeon 9500 Pro. (Which is the same as a Radeon 9700) has S-Video out. I love this card..dont still make them, though..So I'd recomend a 9700. Cheap, and still good.

Check out the "Capture Cards" link on the left under "Lists". The search page allows you to just check "Graphics cards" and not only capture cards. Lots of good information in there along with user reviews

This is what I'm using for the same application.

It has SVHS out and a composite adapter. Also DVI for future use. It's an 8X card. I use it with my projection setup and it works great.

I've used my GeForce 4 MX440 with good results; you don't need an expensive card. I got mine for $30 (after rebates of course) around last christmas at Circuit City. It's the one made by Mad Dog, and it has VGA, S-Video, and DVI outputs. I would say you should just get an S-Video out because you will be hard pressed to find composite out on a popular graphics card, and you can always use an adapter to go from S-Video to Composite, which is what I do. Also, I have used the S-Video out on a Dell Laptop. The quality is pretty bad on that one and there is almost no color saturation to speak of, but that was on an older laptop: PIII 400.

I use an ATIAIW 7500 It has been discontinued but I hear that you can still find them new in the box pretty cheap(I haven't looked in awhile being as I already have one) It can be a troublesome card for some but I like it. My system is pretty weak but a new setup should be able to handle it no problem.
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?
