I have a linksys wireless router, and I no longer need the use to be wireless, so can I just remove the antennas to stop sending the wireless frequency. I'm just going to use it as a wired router....

No, that won't do it, it may dilute the signal, but it's still enabled. Go into your router setup and click on the 'Wireless' tab. On the drop down box that says 'Wireless Network Mode' choose Disabled, then click 'Save Settings.'
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.

Will this disabling still allow internet flow through the hardwired network? or stop all traffic?

Should stop wireless only. Also I think this is the router with the Linux based firmware. If I'm not mistaken there are all sorts of really advanced router function you can flash into that thing.

Edit: cleared up the first scentence, it said exactly what I didn't mean.
